How to Apply & enroll
Application Process
All interested students must complete and submit an application by the deadline posted for the open cohort. Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by the SMA Committee. If your application is selected, you and other qualified candidates will be notified with a congratulations letter sent to your email and a payment link to enroll for the open cohort. ​

Must be 18 years or older

Must already have an LLC with your state and it must be in good standing (must be able to show proof and/or documentation)

Must have a total revenue of less than $5,000 for the year
Enrollment Process
Please note that all accepted applicants are not guaranteed a spot into the open cohort until they:​

Pay the registration fee in full AND
-
Before the deadline and/or before the cohort spots are at maximum capacity
If you are not able to enroll in time and/or the cohort is at maximum capacity, as an accepted applicant, you will be placed on the SMA Waitlist to receive first priority to register for the next available cohort. Please be sure to stay connected and alert via your submitted email to receive all SMA messages including the enrollment link to secure your spot before cohort maximum capacity.​

Each cohort only has a total of 25 spots available. The amount of accepted applicants may exceed the amount of available spots within a cohort. It is important to secure your cohort spot and register once enrollment becomes available.
Waitlist process
If you missed enrollment and have been placed on the SMA waitlist you will receive first priority in enrolling in the next available cohort.

As an accepted applicant you may defer your enrollment at any time and remain on the SMA Waitlist until a cohort is available that best fits your schedule and commitment.

This fee includes full access to all online sessions, access to community message boards, session materials and your chance at winning $1,500 in seed money towards your business.

Once you are enrolled, please see the refund schedule in the event you can no longer attend:

Drop-Out 7 weeks+ of posted cohort start date: 100% refund

Frequently asked questions (FAQS)
Do I have to attend all the sessions?
Yes, all students are required to attend all classes to be eligible for receiving the awarded Seed Money for the Launch Pitch Contest at the end of the cohort. All students are allotted 1 excused day for emergency use only.

Will the sessions be recorded?
Unfortunately, the LIVE online sessions will not be recorded as this intensive is designed for engagement and judgement-free learning. Therefore, students may be sharing information regarding their business that we would not be comfortable recording and sharing for replay. However, Session notes/slides will be available for download.

I have a business partner, do they have to enroll too?
Yes, we encourage business partners to enroll together if possible.

How long do I have to be in business to qualify for the academy?
We have no requirement for the length of time you must be a business owner.

What if I have a business but not an LLC right now?
To qualify, you must have an LLC registered with your state and the LLC must be in good standing.

Do I have to have a business website?
No, However, if you are the winner of the Launch Pitch Contest you could use your earnings to invest in a business website.

If I am the winner of the $1,500 Seed Money, what can I use the money for?
If you are the selected winner, you may use the awarded Seed Money toward any investment for your business.

When and how long are the sessions?
Each available cohort will be posted on this website. The cohort will be 6-weeks long with each session held on Saturday morning for about an hour and a half online.

Are there payment plans for registration?
Payment plans for registration are not available. The full registration fee is due in full to secure your spot for the cohort.

Is there a drop-out policy?
If a student must leave the cohort please refer to the REFUND SCHEDULE, located within the Enrollment Fee section.
